I began treatment with Dr. Christenson in May of 2001. I had been to various doctors complaining of extreme fatigue, migraines, depression, MS-like symptoms (tremors, dizziness, muscle weakness), nausea, weight gain, low thyroid, insomnia, and high blood pressure. I had been put on a variety of drug therapies, but found most of these caused more problems than they helped. My brother-in-law told me about NAET - his experience with a practitioner in Knoxville, Tennessee had been nothing short of miraculous! When I began treatment with Dr. Christenson, I was so weak and discouraged, that I almost cancelled my initial appointment. I must admit to being very cynical about this type of medicine. I found out immediately that I was severely allergic to the chemical hormones I was taking following my hysterectomy-after starting natural hormones, I still tested allergic, but Dr. Christenson was able to alleviate my allergy to them. I then went through various allergy testing-thyroid, organ, gland, RNA, DNA, and amino acids. After clearing these, we moved on to calcium and dairy products, vitamin C, vitamin B, sugar, iron, minerals, iodine, lead, corn, salt, and complex sugars. I tested allergic to almost everything! I had a big problem with sugar, and when this was cleared, noticed a big difference in energy, cravings, and depression. I was also treated for sinus headaches; I would tend to get these during high humidity and an air pressure change. To date, I have lost 45 pounds, get up every morning at 5:00 a.m. to run or workout, have no symptoms of poor health, and feel like I'm in the best shape of my life! Thank you Dr. Christenson for giving me my life back." - Blessings, Patricia H. ● "To Whom It May Concern: For three years I underwent medical acupressure and acupuncture treatments with Elizabeth Chen Christenson MD for my allergies and associated symptoms including asthma, migraines, sinusitis, joint pain, hives, chronic fatigue and depression.. Prior to the treatments I had progressively worsening severe environmental and chemical allergies which grew to include food allergies. Three months before the treatments I was down to only about eight foods I could safely eat. For six days before I first came to her office I had eaten only small amounts of white rice and bottled water because anything else made my throat start swelling shut. I was 5'6" and weighed only eighty-six pounds. Attempts with Western medicine to control my problems had only worsened my condition as I would have allergic reactions to the medications. When I first read the pamphlet in Dr. Christenson's office about eliminating allergies I did not believe it could be possible. This is what I had always been told. Before I started to see her, I was treated by an Arthritis specialist for my Psoriatic arthritis, he had me on several different pills. After five months of being on the medicine I started to have chest pains, I was told by the Arthritis specialist that it was being caused by the medicine eating a whole in my stomach, he did not change the medicine he had me on just prescribed yet another pill to help my stomach.
